The Snowdonia National Park through which the railway runs is well known for its stunning and varied landscapes which of course can be admired from the train during daylight hours, but are you aware that Wales now leads the world in the percentage of its territory enjoying protected status for its night skies?
Snowdonia National Park is now an International Dark Sky Reserve , only the tenth place in the world to gain this status, and it is our intention to celebrate this achievement at the gala with a number of special opportunities for visitors to enjoy.
On the Friday evening at Dinas there will be a talk by award-winning local dark sky photographer Kris Williams for members and event rover ticket holders.
