Special Steam Railway Events in 2020
Our members run amazing special steam railway events. There is lots to enjoy and experience in 2020.
Due to Coronavrus COVID-19 all railways are temporarily closed. Hopefully events later in the year will be happening, when restrictions are lifted. As Visit Wales says, "VISIT WALES. LATER" #StaySafe.
Great Little Trains of Wales (GLToW) members offer fun events for families, groups and enthusiasts. There is something for everyone to enjoy.
Highlights include:
- Expereince ENGINEous model railways at the Llanberis lake Railway in February 2020
- Catch the St David’s Day special, 1st March 2020 at Bala Lake Railway
- Join the Easter Bunny on the Brecon Mountain Railway for an Egg Hunt in April 2020
- Celebrating Sierra Leone's Independence with the Welshpool & Llanfair Railway in April 2020
- Enjoy the Annual Steam Gala at Fairbourne in May 2020
- Eat Fish and Chips at Talyllyn Railway's 'Fish ‘n’ Chip FRYdays' dates in August 2020
- Travel back in time at the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways Victorian Vintage Weekend in October 2020
- Dress to scare on the Halloween Ghost Train at Vale of Rheidol Railway in October 2020
- Tell Santa your list on the Welsh Highland Heritage Railway in December 2020
